From quenching thirst to transforming lives
In many parts of Asia and Africa, water hand pumps cannot be installed due to the depth and pollution of water.
Muslim Charity helps communities to build water wells close to their homes. We use technology that fits the local context and we train people to maintain them.
In most areas of Bangladesh, water is extremely polluted due to arsenic and safe water is only available at a depth of around 200 feet or more. For this reason Muslim Charity helps communities to find local solutions and constructs water wells to provide safe water.
Similarly, in many areas of Sub-Saharan Africa where the land is arid and there is a lack of water resources, Muslim Charity helps communities construct water wells where it is economically viable to do so.
Your £750 towards a water well in Asia or £3,000 towards a water well in Africa can help transform communities by providing safe drinking water.
