The Orphan Sponsorship Programme and Orphans’ Fund has been running successfully ever since Muslim Charity’s inception back in 1999. Through this structured programme we have been able to changes hundreds of thousands of lives in many parts of the underdeveloped and underprivileged world.

Currently Muslim Charity is supporting orphans in the following countries:

• Kashmir
• Pakistan
• Palestine
• Somalia

Historically, the Orphan Sponsorship Programme played a huge role following the tragic Indonesia Tsunami in 2004. The tragic Tsunami left hundreds of children without mothers and fathers and some unfortunate children had become deprived of both of their parents. Understanding the dire needs of these orphans Muslim Charity donors responded by sponsoring over 200 orphans in the Sumatran island of Indonesia.

In the past the Orphan Sponsorship Programme has also supported orphans in Chechnya by providing food, shelter, clothing and medicine to the orphans and widows in the region.

Muslim Charity is committed to providing the orphans with proper support. We are always determined to saving lives of thousands of displaced and homeless orphans, widows and the sick in refugee camps and afflicted regions throughout the world.

Donations towards the Orphans’ Fund will go toward supporting the support and care offered to orphans throughout the world. How much does it cost to sponsor a child?

Sponsorship costs just £30 per month. You can also choose to make a yearly payment of £360.

How do I become a sponsor?

All you need to do is complete the Orphan Sponsorship Form by clicking here.

What happens after I become a sponsor?

Once your first payment is received, Muslim Charity will acknowledge your sponsorship and allocate an orphan for you. We will then send you a photograph and details of the orphan you are sponsoring. We will also forward annual reports about the child’s progress when we receive them.

What does £30 per month provide the needy orphan with?

£30 per month goes a long way to relieve the poverty experienced by needy orphans; your sponsorship payments contribute towards the provision of the basic needs of the child such as food, clothing, education and healthcare.

What is the duration of a sponsorship?

In order to be fair and just to the needy, Muslim Charity encourages a minimum of one year’s sponsorship. Otherwise an orphan is sponsored until such time that the orphan completes his/her education.
